This event took place in February 17th 2016 between 10:00 and 16:30 hours
The attendees from Centro de Ciencias Do Mar Do Algarve, Universidad Complutense de Madrid and LCW Consult were in São Domingos Mine to analyse issues related to the scale up and design of the pilot plant at the selected mine in Portugal for the project BIOMETAL DEMO.
Therefore, the aim of the meeting and visit to São Domingos Mine was to decide the best connection between the mine’s wastewater treatment processes developed by RTD partners CCMAR, UCM and ARMINES and to choose the best location to implement the pilot plant.
In the visit to this mine, the partners had the opportunity to detect the disadvantages and the advantages related to the mine in order to avoid any risk for the pilot plant design and construction.
