The Porto Water Innovation Week 2017 took place between 24th and 30th September in Porto (Portugal).
Porto hosted the 4th EIP Water conference as part of the Porto Water Innovation Week (PWIW). From September 24 – 30, over 1200 water innovators from all over Europe converged on the Portuguese city.
Biometal Demo was presented in this fair. From 27th until 29th, Contactica, Hidrolab and Centro de Investigación y Desarrollo Tecnológico del Agua (CIDTA, University of Salamanca) were present in Porto to share the project results and to establish connection with other projects, research centres and companies interested in the project technologies. During the conference, a project presentation at TechTalks by USAL was done, as well as bilateral meetings held by HLAB and USAL with Water Management stakeholders.
Moreover, Contactica participated in the “Boosting Research and Innovation in the Water Sector: The Impact of EU-funded actions“, which brought together water-related EU funded actions to discuss innovation in the water sector and address the different aspects and challenges in order to maximise impact. Contactica, as BIOMETALDEMO Project Coordinator, chaired the Creating synergies and market exploitation ConverStation session called ”Getting the locals on board”.
The event was organised on 29th of September by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Research and Innovation and the Executive Agency for SMEs (EASME) in collaboration with the EIP Water.
